How to cook Blackbird seitan and wings
Our seitan is a high-protein, plant-based meat you can slice, cube, or shred, ready in minutes. Here's how to cook it and our wings, four ways.
Crispy in minutes
Air fry
For wings
- Air fry 8 to 10 minutes at 400°F.
- Flip halfway through for even crispiness.
- Ready when golden brown and crisp.
For seitan
- Air fry 4 to 5 minutes at 350°F, flipping halfway, until lightly crispy.
Serve with a salad or grain bowl.
Quick on the stovetop
Sauté
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the seitan and cook 3 to 4 minutes, until browned.
Serve with a stir-fry bowl.
Smoky and charred
Grill
- Heat the grill to medium-high.
- Thread 4 to 5 pieces of seitan per skewer.
- Grill 4 minutes per side, until lightly charred.
Serve with rice and veggies.
Roast it with veggies
Oven bake
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Spread veggies on a large sheet pan, drizzle with olive oil, and toss to coat.
- Roast 20 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Add the seitan, toss gently with the veggies, and add more oil if desired.
- Roast another 10 to 15 minutes, until the veggies are tender and the seitan is golden.
Serve over rice or quinoa.
